About the Shellfish Centre: The Shellfish Centre is a research & innovation initiative supporting development of the shellfish sector in Wales. The Centre collaborates with businesses to deliver science to support growth. The main focus of the project is shellfish aquaculture and the related supply chain. All research activity undertaken by the Shellfish Centre will be within a series of well-defined collaborative projects with industrial and other external partners.
Aims of the workshop: The overall aim of the workshop is to identify water quality issues that are most pressing/relevant to the shellfish sector and then to scope potential research topics that can address these priorities. Selected research projects may then be developed and delivered by the Shellfish Centre and its industry partners, or wider collaborations.
